What Claude Code training actually covers

What it is

Claude Code is powerful by default and configured by convention. The difference between a developer who uses it well and one who uses it poorly is mostly in the CLAUDE.md file, the MCP servers connected, and the prompting patterns they run. Training is those three things, grounded in your team's codebase and workflow rather than abstract examples.

The non-developer track exists because most teams deploying Claude Code have a manager, technical lead, or product owner who needs to understand what it does, what it cannot do, and how to review its output. That is a different session from learning to code with it, and skipping that audience is one reason AI tool adoption stalls at the individual developer level.

Certification is a common question. As of mid-2026, Anthropic does not run a Claude Code certification program. We issue a completion record after our workshops. The certification-cost queries you see elsewhere point to third-party Udemy courses or individual practitioner claims, not a vendor-backed credential.

Is this the right fit?

Fit check

Where this wins

Engineering teams where only one or two developers use Claude Code

Adoption is stuck at the early adopters. The rest of the team has not set it up or is not using it consistently. The workshop unsticks that.

Companies deploying Claude Code to non-developers

Technical leads, ops leads, or PMs who need to understand what Claude Code produces, how to direct it, and when to trust its output.

Enterprises standardizing before a wider rollout

Consistent CLAUDE.md, MCP setup, and permissions across 10-50 developers before the adoption curve hits. Avoids 20 different ad-hoc setups and the debugging that follows.

When NOT to use this

  • You have one developer who wants to learn: just use the docs. Training is overhead for a team of one.
  • You want a general AI overview, not Claude Code specifically: the AI workshops or custom training pages cover that.
  • The team has not decided to adopt Claude Code yet: training before a decision wastes the budget. Start with a short demo session first.

How a Claude Code team workshop runs

How it works

Fixed scope, typically one to three days depending on team size and whether the non-developer track is included. The setup session comes first so every subsequent session runs on a working installation.

Team assessment

We map current Claude Code usage, existing CLAUDE.md state, experience levels, and the specific workflows to target in the hands-on sessions.

Setup session

Every developer installs Claude Code, connects their editor, configures initial CLAUDE.md and permissions, and runs a shared test workflow so everyone starts from the same baseline.

CLAUDE.md workshop

Shared conventions: project context, commands, caveats, MCP servers, and tone rules. The team ends with one CLAUDE.md per repo and a conventions document they can maintain themselves.

Workflow sessions

Real tasks on your actual codebase: code review, test generation, documentation, refactoring. Each developer leaves with a personal workflow for the three tasks they actually run.

Non-developer track (optional)

For technical leads, product owners, or managers: what Claude Code does, how to read and evaluate its output, and how to direct it effectively without writing the prompts yourself.

Follow-up session (optional)

Two weeks after the initial workshop: review what stuck, debug adoption friction, and extend the CLAUDE.md conventions based on real usage.

Use cases

Legal & Compliance Automation

Saved €10K in Fines

Customer Support Automation

Code review at scale

Teams using Claude Code to review pull requests with consistent prompts and shared project context instead of ad-hoc individual approaches.

Test generation

Getting consistent, runnable tests from Claude Code using the project's testing conventions, not generic output that needs manual cleanup.

Documentation

Generating and maintaining documentation from code with a shared prompt approach and CLAUDE.md context that knows your doc standards.

New developer onboarding

New hires get productive faster when the team has a working Claude Code setup with project context already in the CLAUDE.md.

Technical lead oversight

Non-coding leads who need to direct and review Claude Code output without writing the prompts themselves, with a mental model of where to trust it.

Enterprise rollout prep

Standardizing the setup, permissions, and conventions for 20-50 developers before Claude Code is enabled organization-wide.

At a glance questions

Practical answers about scope, delivery, ownership, and working with ManasFlow.

Does Anthropic offer a Claude Code certification?

Not as of mid-2026. Anthropic does not run a vendor-backed Claude Code certification program. We issue a completion record after our workshops. The certification-cost queries you see in search results point to third-party courses on platforms like Udemy, not an official credential from Anthropic.

How long does a Claude Code team workshop take?

The setup plus workflow sessions for a five to ten developer team typically run two days. Adding the non-developer track adds a half day. We scope the exact format on the call, because team size and existing Claude Code maturity change the right structure significantly.

Can non-developers attend?

Yes, and we run a separate track for them. The non-developer track covers what Claude Code does, how to read and evaluate its output, and how to direct it effectively without writing code yourself. This is usually for technical leads, product managers, and senior operators.

What does Claude Code training cost?

Workshops are fixed-scope and priced after the assessment call, because team size, existing setup, and the number of tracks included change the number. The base is a half-day setup and CLAUDE.md session for a small team. Multi-day, multi-track engagements for larger teams are scoped after the call.

Do you need access to our codebase?

For the developer workshop, yes. We run sessions on your actual codebase because abstract examples do not produce lasting habits. We work in a development environment, not production access, and the CLAUDE.md conventions we build stay in your repository.
