Before we build
v0 Engineering questions
Practical answers about scope, delivery, ownership, and working with ManasFlow.
Can you turn my v0 project into a real Next.js app?+
Yes. That is our core work. We take the screens v0 generated, extract a proper design system and component library, wire in real data and backends, and ship a production Next.js app on Vercel.
Do I lose v0's speed if I bring you in?+
No. We build on what v0 generates rather than starting over, so you keep the velocity of prompt-to-UI while gaining a typed, maintainable codebase your team can extend.
Can you add a backend, database, and auth to my v0 UI?+
Yes. v0 ships static UI with hardcoded data. We replace the mocks with real databases, authentication, APIs, and server actions so the interface becomes a working application.
Will the final app be a clean codebase we own?+
Yes. We deliver a structured Next.js App Router repo on your Vercel account with documentation. No lock-in and no black-box prototype only we can maintain.
Do you deploy and maintain the app on Vercel?+
Yes. We handle environments, CI, preview and production deploys on Vercel, and for ongoing products we offer monitoring, iteration, and maintenance after launch.
How does one engineer refactor a whole prototype into production code?+
A fleet of agents handles the component typing, backend wiring, and test writing in parallel while the engineer directs architecture and reviews every change, so you get a team's throughput from one point of contact.
What is v0 good for, and what does it leave out?+
v0 is good for generating React and Tailwind screens fast, which makes it a strong tool for UI exploration and first drafts. It leaves out the product underneath: database, auth, API routes, tests and a shared design system. That missing layer is the work we do.
Can I just hire a freelancer to finish my v0 app?+
For a single screen, maybe. On a full product the difference shows: we extract a design system, type the components, wire the backend and set up CI and deploys as one plan, so the app stays consistent as pages are added instead of drifting screen by screen.
When is v0 the wrong starting point?+
When the hard part of your product is the backend, such as heavy data processing, complex permissions or many integrations. v0 generates UI, so it helps little there. Start from the data model and the API, and use v0 later for screens. We tell you which case you are in during the audit.
Which stack do you use to finish a v0 app?+
Next.js App Router with TypeScript, Tailwind and shadcn/ui, which is what v0 already generates, so nothing gets rewritten for style. For data and auth we pick the backend with you, and Supabase Postgres is a common choice. Deployment runs on your Vercel account.
Is my v0 code a good base, or should we start over?+
Usually a good base for the UI. Generated screens often duplicate styles and hardcode data, so we refactor rather than restart: we pull out shared components, type them and replace mock data. A restart only makes sense if the screens no longer match the product you plan to build.
Can you add AI features to a v0 app?+
Yes. Once the app has a real backend we can add assistants, search over your documents, or agents that act on your data. We build those as server-side code with logging and limits, not prompts in the browser, so keys and costs stay under control.
