DeepSeek V4.1 Flash Free by OpenCode Zen

OpenCode's free build of DeepSeek V4.1 Flash. OpenCode's model docs (checked October 24, 2026) list it as free for a limited time, say its provider follows a zero-retention policy and does not use your data for training, and now list it in place of the earlier DeepSeek V4 Flash Free. The catch: free-tier chat models only work inside the OpenCode client, not from other apps or SDKs. The paid DeepSeek V4.1 Flash costs $0.30 input and $1.20 output per 1M tokens on the same console.

Install OpenCode, run /connect, choose the OpenCode provider and paste your API key from the OpenCode console, then run /models and pick DeepSeek V4.1 Flash Free (model ID deepseek-v4.1-flash-free).
